Open University Learning Spaces at West College Scotland

Our libraries at Clydebank, Greenock and Paisley campuses are available to Open University students and staff as Learning Spaces.

The college library stocks prospectuses for many universities in Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom. We also have additional literature for West College Scotland students who may be considering the Open University as a potential progression route.

Information for Open University students and tutors

Open University students and tutors may use the facilities at any West College Scotland campus library for personal study or research.

Please email in advance of your first visit so that we can request a computer account for you. Computer accounts expire in June of each year.

On your first visit, please report to the campus reception desk. The receptionist will contact the library to advise of your arrival. On subsequent visits, you may go directly to the campus library.

On each visit, you will be required to sign in and out of the campus library. You should bring Open University identification (e.g. student card, tutor badge or letter). West College Scotland will share information with the Open University about which students and staff are making use of the facilities at West College Scotland and the frequency of use. You are welcome to use the library facilities at any West College Scotland campus as often as you want during normal library opening hours for that campus.
