Introduction to Mindfulness – Facilitated by Sandra Docherty

This block of three mindfulness sessions are delivered by Sandra Docherty, who is not only a lecturer at Greenock Campus but a mindfulness practitioner.  During these sessions Sandra will introduce and educate participants in the use of mindfulness and how it can be used as an effective tool to relax one’s mind and bring inner peace.

Please note, the course is limited to 10 participants and will take place over three 1hr sessions on the following dates;

Thursday 14th of May – 1pm until 2pm

Session  1 – Colour Breathing

An introduction to Mindfulness.

Grounding, Focusing and Reasons to Practice.

Tapping with Positive affirmations

Rainbow Colour Breathing using Mindful Meditation.

Thursday 21st of May – 1pm until 2pm

Session 2- Mindfulness Body Scan

Internal and External experience with “Staying in the Moment”.

Tapping with Positive Affirmations.

Acupressure self-massage.

Meditative Body Scan

Thursday 28th of May – 1pm until 2pm

Session 3 – Mindful Muscle Work

Mindful environment, Observing and Focusing

Tapping with Positive Affirmations.

Face Acupressure

Mindful meditation using muscle work.
