At present, there is only going to be very limited, essential activity on campus. Your lecturer will be in touch with you directly if this affects you. Following the Scottish Government’s recent review of lockdown restrictions; please find below some important updates and reminders which we hope you find helpful.
IMPORTANT UPDATE ON FACE-COVERINGS & EXEMPTIONS
The government guidance on face-coverings has been updated. It is now mandatory for students to wear face coverings in all indoor classrooms, workshops and communal areas on our campuses -even where 2 metre social distancing can be maintained. If you refuse to wear a face covering and do not have an exemption, then you will be told to leave the Campus immediately.
If student behaviour towards any member of staff who is challenging the absence of a face covering is deemed to be unacceptable, the Student Disciplinary Procedure will be applied.
Of course, some students will be exempt under the Scottish Government’s guidelines. Anyone who has an exemption from wearing a face covering is encouraged to evidence this in the form of a WCS exemption card and lanyard. This will prevent you from being asked questions about your exemption.

MAKE SURE YOU RECORD YOUR SICKNESS ABSENCE!
The College recognises that, during the year, students may become unwell or have difficulties in attending due to other circumstances (e.g. caring responsibilities).
To ensure an absence is recorded appropriately and for the College to offer the most appropriate support, it is important to ensure you keep staff informed about an absence and any additional support required.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or been told to self-isolate you can let the College know by completing the following Office 365 account form – for all other absence queries please click here.

Throughout the Coronavirus crisis, the College follows government guidance and key public health measures have been put in place throughout our campuses to stop the spread of the virus. - Face coverings
- Avoid crowded places
- Clean your hands regularly
- Two-metre distance
Self-isolate and book a test if you have symptoms.
