Thank you to everyone who submitted a piece of work to our first ever Westwords Creative Writing competition. We were delighted with the response and very impressed with all the submissions.
Judge, author Ross Sayers commented, “I was honored to be asked to judge the completion, and thoroughly enjoyed reading all the entries. There’s clearly a lot of talent within the College.”
First place is awarded to Caitlin Mount for her submission ‘Dad’s Pint Glass’, a story which explores how a simple household object, re-discovered, takes on a huge symbolic power.”
