Carers Trust Scotland is looking to set up a group consisting of around 12-15 student carers from across Scotland who currently attend college or university. The group will meet between 2-4 times a year, and will have responsibility for shaping, influencing and contributing to the work of Carers Trust Scotland. Particularly its Going Further and Going Higher for Student Carers project that aims to ensure all Scottish universities and colleges can identify, evaluate and improve their support to student carers. This group will act as a vehicle of change, empowering student carers to influence policy decision-makers by campaigning on issues important to improving the lives and opportunities of student carers across Scotland.
If you are currently studying at one of Scotland’s colleges or universities and providing unpaid care to a relative, partner or friend, and want to be a member of Carer Trust Scotland’s Student Carers Voice for Scotland then we want to hear from you!
If you want more information on joining this group contact Carers Trust Scotland on 0300 772 7701 and ask for Scott or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s time for student carers to be heard!
