We are looking for input from staff and students at West College Scotland in influencing the future of Clydebank as part of ‘Clydebank Can’. It is a Making Places Initiative in partnership between West Dunbartonshire Council and Scottish Canals which aims to involve local people, businesses and other organisations in shaping the future of the town centre and the canal area. Full details of the project can be found here – https://www.west-dunbarton.gov.uk/planning-building-standards/clydebank-can/
There has already been one design workshop which was held on 18 April. West College Scotland staff and students are warmly invited to attend the next two design workshops which will be held in on 4 and 23 May as follows:-
- Design Workshop 2: to be held on 4 May 2018 in Centre 81, Clydebank between 10am and 8pm; and
- Design Workshop 3: to be held on the 23 May 2018 at Clydebank Town Hall between 10am and 8pm.
The next 2 workshops will build on these ideas and start to develop plans and guidance for the future of the town and its canal. It would be really fantastic to have as many people from the College there as possible especially any students that live in the Clydebank area.
Please contact Davina Lavery on the details below if this would be of interest and whether you will manage along to either of the workshops. The programme for the workshops can be viewed here – https://www.west-dunbarton.gov.uk/media/4314298/clydebank-can-design-workshop-programme-overview.pdf
