Friday 28 October: Try an electric bike for FREE (open to staff and students)

  • Come to the hub/canteen and look out for electric bikes. We will be there from 11am to 4pm. They are fast and fun, you will be surprised

Wednesday 2 November: Get inspired by Alhassan Alhusari and Lee Muir 

  • Keynote session with free pizza from 12:05pm to 1pm in the seminar room at the Hub/canteen.
  • DR Bike Session from 11am to 4pm at the main entrance of the hub. Get a free bike service!

For the Keynote session, we are delighted to have Alhassan Alhusari and Lee Muir as speakers. Alhassan is a Paisley Student who cycled from Glasgow to the Syrian border with his team and raised around a £250,000 for charity. He will tell us about his travel, the good moments and difficulties he encountered on the bike during his journey. Lee is a keen woman cyclist, PhD Researcher in active travel and in charge of Cycling Development at Glasgow Caledonian University, and will give a presentation on the topic of “Women and Cycling” and tell us about the history of women and cycling, how cycling have contributed towards the emancipation of women around the world, give information on resources available to women who cycle or wish to cycle and animate a short workshop.
