Don’t miss the #MonsterConfidence event taking place on Thursday 8 September at the University of Glasgow School of Engineering

This FREE & fun event is dedicated to young women to find out more about careers in STEM. It will enable you to:

  • Get some interview practice
A chance to get comfortable with speaking to employers about yourself, and asking the right questions.
  • Listen to inspirational talks
Hear from people who have been there, done that, got the t-shirt and come back to help you do the same.
  • Meet the industry
Hear about their ups and downs and build your network.
  • Take part in career workshops
Gain important skills for your future STEM career. A helping hand for your upcoming work experience, internships or full-time roles.

The event is organised by Stemettes and Monster with support from Rolls Royce, Salesforce, Deutsche Bank, Accenture and the University of Glasgow.

About Stemettes:
Stemettes is an award winning social enterprise established in 2013, to inspire the next generation of girls into careers in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM).  We do this by taking STEM outside the classroom, demonstrating the diversity and excitement of STEM for girls. Core activities include panel events, hackathons, exhibitions and a mentoring scheme – together serving over 10,000 girls and young women aged between 5 and 22.  We want to see at least 30% of the UK’s STEM workforce being female, a move away from just 14% currently. Our activities have been hugely popular, widely documented and successful around the UK, Ireland and wider Europe.
